After you have submitted the form, you must login to your email server and confirm the automated email. If you have any spam filtering set to high, we recommend you adjust the setting. Click on the activation code link or if the link is not clickable, copy and paste the activation link into your browser address bar and then press enter. Once you have done the tasks, your account is now active. You may begin to login and view all the options and start uploading the video. Remember: your account will auto logout if no activity session for 20 minutes. PREPARING THE VIDEO
We recommend you prepare the video size at 480x 320 pixel for faster transcoding process standard screen or 720x480 for widescreen. You can encode the window screen to a standard format or wide screen. Our player is designed to handle HD or standard format quality. You are limited to only 700 Mega byte per upload at 20 shows per account. All videos uploaded will be watermakred with Realtree.tv logo. Uploading can take as long as 1-8 hours. The process depends on your bandwidth and the net server traffic.
Video with camera shake and noise will result in bad compression. We recommend using good video source for compression. Using DV format, rescale the source 720x480 to an uncompressed file. Due to the scaling, the dv noise has become sub-pixel noise and is way less visible. Lots of cuts and motion will also give bad compession. Remember that the compressor software works like this: it saves one frame (the keyframe) entirely and then saves only the changes that occur in the following frames; this starts again at the next keyframe. So if you have a cut, every pixel of the next frame has to be saved.
COMPRESSION SETTING
Remember that the screen area of the first one is 4 times the area of the second one, and that the file will also become about 4 times as large. Use resolutions of around 240 px wide for home video still 480 px wide for demoreels. Use 2-pass VBR converter (except for rough tests). It takes longer time, but gives the best performance and quaility. If you can maintain file under 500 MEG files, then 2 pass VBR is the best quality. Use a keyframe for every 2 seconds (50 frames) for video with little motion up to a keyframe every half second (10 frames) for video with a lot of motion. Bitrate for the video: 200 - 1000 kbps, again depending on the amount of motion in the source material. Keep testing for a better quality and performance. Audio is set to 32, 6, 96 or 128 kbps mp3. 32 for just speech, 96 for music. Listen to see the sound starts to loose quality. Remember that a byte is not a bit! A byte is 8 bits.

UPLOADING THE VIDEO
Once you login, click upload at the very top menu.
Enter the title of your video. Title should not be longer then 50 characters including spaces
Enter the description of your video: Please refrain from using profanity words in the form. The maximum number of characters to enter in description area is 300 including spaces
Select the appropriate category your video belongs to. If you want to enter the video in more then one category, you must complete the first video then duplicate the same and resubmit the same video again, but choose the new category
Searchable Tags: use for searching your video content by key words. Some preset tags have already been dictionary assigned. Type the first few letters and the software will define them. If you do not see one that associate with your video, enter your tag words.
Click submit and follow the next step
Browse the video you prepared on the hard disk: FLV will be the final format on our site.
Check the agreement before uploading the video. We recommend you read about International copyright law prior to uploading the video. Remember: you are limit to 700 Mega byte per upload. You will be prompted if your video exceed the file limit prior to transcoding.
Click upload vide. Uploading the video can take as long as 1-8 hours; depend on your bandwidth speed. The amount of traffic can also reduce the video transcoding process. You will see the progress bar as it being transcoded.

How do I rate a video:Answer: Use the 5 stars rating system below video detail. If you cannot select the stars rating, it mean you must first log in or sign up. You cannot rate the same video on the same login account.
What is share? Answer: let you shared video that was uploaded to any of your friends email address.
What is favorite?Answer: allow you to add the video to your favorite list. You must first sign in to add any video to your favorite list. You can only add the same video one time as your favorites list. Use remove favorite button to delete the video from your list.
What is subscribe?Answer: allow you to subscribe to other people videos that are listed on the site. You must first sign in to subscribe to any video.
What is embed?Answer: allow you to copy the video information link, code and paste them on your personal website. Use the select link to the right of the embed form to copy the code. For PC user, auto copy and select all has been set. Past the code to notepad or your web program. For MAC user, the select will only select all the code. MAC must use the command key to copy and past the code.
What is related video?Answer: a list of video that have relationship to your tag key words.
How do I add my comments other people videos?Answer: you must first sign. A spam link is assigned next to those who use our comment as spamming or write any obscene comments. Help us police those who violet our policy.
How do I change my icon?Answer: login and select profile. You can also upload your own version, but must be in .jpg format only at 91x80. Choose from a listed of icons from our library. Please do not use obscene image.
